.I have been giving the Pompino a good thrashing since I added the upgrades and loving every minute. It's been ripping up the local farm tracks and some night rides on the mtb trails in the local woods. I have been having so much fun I'am even thinking of not bothering to replace the Inbred that was stolen last year, as I've tackled 80% of the stuff I would on my mtb and most of what I couldn't was down to it being a SS.
I've had couple of issues with the Frogglegs brakes as I had not got them set up right even though they didn't seem too bad, but after lowering the the cable hanger and shortening the straddle wire the perfomance has improved a lot. The second issue is more a manufacturing problem as the brake shoes come with an angle to them so as to provide toe in and doing away with manual toe in, but it seems that one of shoe's has the toe in the wrong way round ! I cant be bothered to send them back as I'am going to get some Koolstop pads so that will take care of that. Everything as worked as it should, with the Cane Creek levers providing a lovely feel when riding the hoods and the white Easton bar tape cleans up real easy. Here are a few more pics...
